Profile

LAC Football Team

LAC is committed to maintaining itself as a place where activities such as sports (Football) are encouraged. In 1997, a team of LAC students and staff was established under the name of the LAC Tigers. The Tigers had many friendly matches with the teams of various business organizations within the capital and promoted competition in other provinces.

With the expansion of the college and increased public interests, in the year 2002 a new revitalized LAC football team headed by the national coach Mr. Souphalak Linthakan had its most successful campaign since its establishment.

The successful season captivated the public eyes with the entry into the Anti-AIDS Sporting Competition (February), the second VXP Cup (June - July), and most of all, the entry of the newly established team in the Division B of National Football Federation Cup. The team then rounded off the year by participating in the Private School Association Cup where they manage to take the inaugural third place.

The successful campaign year of 2002 - 2003 sees the LAC Football Club, recognized for its results and competitiveness, being promoted to the top of National League or more commonly known as the Lao League, A Division.
